Nominations for all PTO executive positions are now open until March 31st. The positions are: President, Vice President, 2nd Vice President (must be a teacher), treasurer, recording secretary, corresponding secretary, and publicity. If you are interested in any of these positions or want more information about them, email us at [email protected] .
Here is a brief description of each position:
President – Handles the day to day duties of the PTO, runs the monthly executive and regular meeting, meets with principals and superintendent when needed.
Vice President – Assists the president in anything that needs to be done, takes over duties if president can’t be there.
2nd Vice President – Held by a teacher, and promotes teacher and parent rapport.
Treasurer – Collects all monies and disperses the same, keeps and presents a statement of account at every executive meeting, makes the budget and presents it for approval.
Recording secretary – Keeps a record of all meetings.
Corresponding secretary – Responsible for all correspondence of the board.
Publicity – Responsible for making and distributing the monthly newsletter and any other publicity that needs to go out.
Membership is not an executive position but needs to be filled, also. You would be responsible for distributing and collecting the membership forms, making the volunteer list and bringing the sign in book and tickets to each meeting. We are also always looking for people to help out on the fundraising committee.
We have one meeting each month for the executive board followed by the regular meeting.
